*Regular or Associate
The starting point for single enthusiasts looking to get involved and stay informed. Individual membership includes our digital newsletter and access to all club events and meetings. Join as a Regular member and enjoy full voting rights and eligibility for awards within the club. If you live outside of our prescribed zone (Ontario, Canada) join as an Associate member and still take part in all of our events and get-togethers (you just can't vote on our executive or By-Laws).
Family Pack
$35
*Regular membership only
Household (or Dual) membership is the primary choice for active households. As Regular members (with sponsorship from a current Regular or Lifetime member in good standing), this includes 2 voting spots, our digital newsletter, and all the same great access to all the Club events and social activities at a reduced rate. Dual members do not have to be family members, but must be living at the same address. *Limit of two (2) household members per membership.
Puppy Patrol
$15
*Associate membership only
A breeder member of the Club may purchase an Associate Individual membership for their new puppy owners at a reduced rate. The new member may enjoy the Club's privileges as an Associate member: they may vote on ordinary business at any general meeting of the club at which they are in attendance but are not entitled to vote in elections or stand for or hold office. Associate Members may serve on any of the Club’s committees, except as Chairperson.
Breed Patron
free
*Lifetime = Regular, Junior = Associate
For the most dedicated basset champions, Lifetime Members have rendered long and meritorious service to the Club (25 years or more), or have made significant contributions to the Club and breed. Lifetime Members enjoy all the privileges of the Club. Junior Membership is open to children between the ages of four (4) and seventeen (17) years of age. Junior members are entitled to all club privileges except for voting or holding office.
Individuals may join as "Regular" or "Associate" members. Regular Members are breeders, owners and/or enthusiasts of basset hounds, living within Ontario, Canada, provided they are eighteen (18) years of age or over, and eligible for individual membership in the CKC. Applications for Regular Membership must provide the name of one other Regular or Lifetime member in good standing who will sponsor or endorse the new member for approval. Regular applications will be reviewed and voted on for approval at the next Board Meeting. Regular applicants without a member sponsor may request endorsement from the Membership Chair upon application. Regular members who join after June 30th of the current year are not eligible to stand for or hold office that year. Members are expected to be with the Club for at least six (6) months so they have a clear understanding of the Club's workings in order to hold executive positions. Associate Members are breeders, owners and/or enthusiasts of basset hounds, living outside of Ontario, Canada - or living within Ontario who wish to join as a non-voting member - provided they are eighteen (18) years of age or over. Associate members pay dues, and are entitled to move, second and vote on ordinary business at any general meeting of the club at which they are in attendance, but are not entitled to vote in elections or stand for or hold office. Associate Members may serve on any of the Club’s committees, except as Chairperson. Associate members who live in Ontario and are eligible for Regular Membership may apply to convert their membership after their first year.
We invite all enthusiasts who share our dedication to the Basset Hound breed to apply for membership and join our community.
All applicants must sign that they have read and agree to abide by the Club's Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Ethics. If you have not already done so, you can view these documents >> HERE <<
